加拿大監護人的角色 (義務)

Custodianship
Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) requires that all applicants applying for a study permit under the age of 18, and planning to enter Canada alone, must arrange to have a custodian in Canada. The custodian must be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident over the age of 19.
監護人
加拿大公民及移民局(CIC)要求所有申請學習許可證的未滿18歲並計劃獨自進入加拿大的申請人,必須在加拿大安排一名監護人。監護人必須是年滿19歲的加拿大公民或永久居民。
Expectations for Custodians of International Students
Responsible and reliable custodian is very important for international students, who are under the age of 18 and not accompanied by their parent, to have a safe and successful learning experience while they are studying at the Toronto District School Board (TDSB).
國際學生監護人的期望
對於未滿18歲且未由父母陪同的國際學生而言,負責且可靠的監護人對於他們在多倫多教育局(TDSB)學習期間能夠有安全且成功的學習體驗非常重要。
If the international student applicant will be in the care of a custodian, the student’s parent should read the following roles and responsibilities of a custodian carefully in order to arrange for the best care for their child.
The custodian must be over 19 years of age, a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident and must assume responsibility for the student. The custodian must live in the TDSB boundary area.
如果國際學生申請人將由監護人照顧,學生的父母應仔細閱讀以下監護人的角色和責任,以便為其子女安排最佳照顧。
監護人必須年滿19歲,並且是加拿大公民或永久居民,必須承擔學生的責任。監護人必須居住在TDSB的邊界區域內。
The custodian, in the place of the parent(s), is responsible for making the necessary arrangements for the care and support of the student while she/he is studying in Canada. The custodian should:
監護人代替父母,負責在學生在加拿大學習期間進行必要的照顧和支持安排。監護人應該:
- be the official contact for the Toronto International Student Programs (TISP) and the TDSB school with regards to all matters involving the international student including but not limited to educational and behavioral matters
成為多倫多國際學生項目(TISP)和TDSB學校的正式聯繫人,負責所有涉及國際學生的事務,包括但不限於教育和行為問題
- ensure that the student renews with the International Students and Admissions Office and makes the tuition fee payment on time
確保學生按時向國際學生和招生辦公室續約並支付學費
- accompany the student to the Reception/Assessment Centre with required documentation for the admission intake and assessment and sign appropriate documentation
陪同學生前往接待/評估中心,攜帶所需文件進行入學登記和評估,並簽署相關文件
- accompany the student to school with required documentation for school registration and to complete/sign all appropriate school documents
陪同學生前往學校進行註冊,攜帶所需文件完成/簽署所有相關學校文件 - assist the student with settlement needs such as opening a bank account, buying a cell phone, how to use public transit, etc.
協助學生解決定居需求,例如開設銀行賬戶,購買手機,如何使用公共交通工具等 - provide consent as needed by the school for academic programs and activities and timetable changes after communicating with parents and receiving their consent
在與父母溝通並獲得同意後,根據學校的需求為學術課程和活動以及時間表變更提供同意 - attend parent-teacher interviews and communicate with parents afterwards
參加家長教師會議,並在會後與父母溝通 - maintain correct custodian contact information with the school and the International Students and Admissions Office
與學校和國際學生和招生辦公室保持正確的監護人聯繫信息 - inform the school and the International Students and Admissions Office immediately if any change is made to the student’s homestay or custodianship arrangement;
如果對學生的寄宿或監護安排有任何更改,立即通知學校和國際學生和招生辦公室 - if temporarily away from the City of Toronto, for example travelling, arrange for an emergency contact person and provide the emergency contact information to the school and the International Students and Admissions Office
如果暫時離開多倫多市,例如旅行,安排一名應急聯繫人,並向學校和國際學生和招生辦公室提供應急聯繫信息 - monitor the student’s attendance record, report student absences to the school following school procedures, and communicate student’s absences to parents in a timely manner;
監控學生的出勤記錄,根據學校程序向學校報告學生缺勤情況,並及時向父母通報學生缺勤情況 - request copies of and sign student’s report cards
要求副本並簽署學生的成績單
- send student’s preliminary, mid-term and final reports to parents and communicate among the school, the International Students and Admissions Office and parents/students regarding any related concerns and/or follow-up
向父母發送學生的初步、中期和期末報告,並就任何相關問題和/或後續行動在學校、國際學生和招生辦公室與父母/學生之間進行溝通 - assist the student with solving any behavioral, social, emotional and medical concerns and communicate with the school, student, parents and the International Students and Admissions Office
協助學生解決任何行為、社交、情感和醫療問題,並與學校、學生、父母和國際學生和招生辦公室溝通 - assist the student with solving homestay issues and communicate with parents, schools and the International Education Office
協助學生解決寄宿家庭問題,並與父母、學校和國際教育辦公室溝通 - advise parents of any school issues that present or create a problem
通知父母任何對學校造成或引起問題的問題 - respond in a timely fashion to requests/phone calls from the school and the International Students and Admissions Office in order to best ensure the student’s safety
及時響應學校和國際學生和招生辦公室的請求/電話,以最好地確保學生的安全 - ensure compliance with student’s study permit conditions including any extensions thereto
確保遵守學生的學習許可條件,包括任何延期 - communicate with parents regarding any and all school issues with respect to the student.
與父母就有關學生的任何和所有學校問題進行溝通
